As far back as our history tells us, the gods have precided over the world. Kingdoms rise and empires fall but the gods endure, allowing mortals their squabbles and insignificant victories. From their utopia in Egyptia these beings have influenced culture, philosophy and politics, demanding worship and offerings as has been their right. 22 cycles ago Egyptia closed its gates and sealed its borders. This ended centuries of pilgrimage and the flow of knowledge and philosophy from the gods. With the gods gone the world now swirls in uncertainty. The Hoodaya’Wabantu is an ancient matriarchal guild established by the gods to ensure order and progress. Indecision and disunity now plague the Hoodaya High Council. Thrown into this upheaval is a young woman struggling to find herself in a world too cruel to care.
