22 cycles ago the Gods withdrew from the world leaving various nations and guilds in a tense balancing act uncertain whether to await their return or forge a new world without them. Amari, an acolyte of the Hoodaya’wabantu, an ancient matriarchal guild tasked with safeguarding civilization from the whims of tyranny, is ordered to assassinate a courier slave who is pursued by unknown arcane powers for reasons unknown to him. A mysterious woman claiming to be her mother rescues her when she is ambushed by 4 young men seeking revenge. The newly proclaimed war-god of the Zinanjas, finds himself on the legendary Mount Jilimanjaro in a quest to find the tools to unite his people and bring about a long overdue justice to their history.

22 cycles ago the mystical land of Egyptia home to the gods, closed its borders. This ended centuries of the Gods direct dominion and communion with the world. Amari is a gifted acolyte of an ancient order haunted by her actions and internal struggles. On her mission to recover anancient artifact her world is turned upside down when she meets a runner named Jenga. The mute slave-courier has an inexplicable connection to her that proves too much to handle. In her despondent state she is waylaid by four brothers seeking vengeance for the murder of their father. Their plans are interrupted when a stranger claiming to be Amari’s mother appears. Meanwhile as secret sects plot, the ostracized and hated tribes of Zinanjas are doing something unseen in centuries. They are uniting!

Synopsis
22 cycles ago the mystical land of Egyptia home to the gods, closed its borders creating a power vacuum and cataclysm in societal and political spheres. Amid this strange mediums and individuals appear to be on the move. The matriarchal order of Hooodaya’Wabantu is praised in some quarters and demonized in others for their recent assassinations of prominent figures. They assign Amari, a young troubled assassin, to kill a runner and retrieve his package. This meeting in Gboka city leads to a mental connection and fumble of Amari’s mission. Meanwhile, deep in the Wastes, the warring tribes of the Zinanjas seem to be at a truce as the rest of the world edges towards chaos.

As far back as our history tells us, the gods have precided over the world. Kingdoms rise and empires fall but the gods endure, allowing mortals their squabbles and insignificant victories. From their utopia in Egyptia these beings have influenced culture, philosophy and politics, demanding worship and offerings as has been their right. 22 cycles ago Egyptia closed its gates and sealed its borders. This ended centuries of pilgrimage and the flow of knowledge and philosophy from the gods. With the gods gone the world now swirls in uncertainty. The Hoodaya’Wabantu is an ancient matriarchal guild established by the gods to ensure order and progress. Indecision and disunity now plague the Hoodaya High Council. Thrown into this upheaval is a young woman struggling to find herself in a world too cruel to care.
